Karimunjawa

Upon carrying out an extensive biological and socioeconomic survey of this national park, WCS has been requested to play a key part in the re-design of the zonation plan. WCS is working with the national park, local NGOs and communities in evaluating and ensuring the long-term survival of fish and corals in the greater seascape through management measures such as partial and permanent closures, and fishing gear restrictions, and  building awareness among local governments and communities.
